Image of fir trees
The forests of Andorra represent 2/5 parts of the Andorran territory and in them we find different types of trees, such as black pine, red pine or fir. Below we tell you a couple of curiosities of each.
This type of tree usually grows between 20 and 40 meters high and blooms during the months of May and June. Its name comes from its red or red bark.
It is a tree of approximately 20 m of height with the branches lowered always close to the sun and with a trunk normally straight, although occasionally comes out more deformed like the one we have in the image, where we see the solitary Pi of the valley of rivers.
It usually has a height of between 20 and 50 meters, sometimes, even, it can reach 60 m. As its branches go up towards the tip, they become smaller and always look down. Its trunk is cylindrical and straight with a smooth bark.
