To discover Andorra's most impressive corners, GUIAND has Darsi, a blue chamois that guides us and accompanies us during all the expeditions we do to find the most magical places in the country. Because of Darsi's agility and skill, we come to find truly unique and unimaginable places that we photograph and investigate for all of you. Glide over the image of Darsi and know its true history.
Legend says that in Andorra there was a thriving population inhabited by villagers with very hard hearts. One winter day, a man half dead of cold and hunger appeared praying for someone in the village to give him some food and a roof to shelter. After all the inhabitants denied him the entrance, the man ended up entering a bakery, and there, he asked the owner: “Can you, good woman, go over the knife with what is left in the basket and make me some bread ? I'm starving! ”
And so the woman did it, but when she saw that a beautiful bread was coming out, she decided to sell it and throw the beggar. A young woman who passed by saw what happened, and full of mercy, invited him to pick up a piece of bread from the hostel where he lived. The man kissed his hands and said: "Thank you, girl, you have had compassion on me, so run away and only then can you save your life."
The young woman left the village. And then loud thunder began to sound and an avalanche of water fell on the town. Finally turning it into what we know today as Engolasters Lake!
It is said that the witches of Andorra ascended to the lake to celebrate pagan holidays completely naked. The men of the surrounding valleys approached to see them bathe. And when the witches discovered it, they conjured a spell so that anyone who climbed to spy on them became a blue chamois.
Legend has it that of those chamois, there is only one left, and if you can see it, LUCK WILL ACCOMPANY YOU!
