Andorra has more than 20 museum spaces where you can learn different aspects of the country's culture and history. You will find a great diversity of museums, interpretation centers and other places with a great weight in the heritage and day-to-day life of the Principality. A large part of the museum spaces show old trades or workplaces that were developed long ago in Andorra and that over time have become a key point for the country's evolution and prosperity.

Andorra dispone de más de 20 espacios museísticos donde poder aprender diferentes aspectos de la cultura e historia del país. Encontrarás una gran diversidad de museos, centros de interpretación y otros lugares con un gran peso en el patrimonio y el día a día de el Principado. Gran parte de los espacios museísticos muestran antiguos oficios o trabajos que se desarrollaban hace tiempo en Andorra y que con el paso de el tiempo han sido un punto clave para la evolución y prosperidad del país.

MUSEUMS

Se trata de una casa tradicional andorrana que se ha recuperado y condicionado como museo etnográfico. En su interior podemos conocer cómo se desarrollaba la vida en una casa humilde a finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. La casa contiene parte del mobiliario original y herramientas propias de la familia.

CASA CRISTO MUSEUM

It is a traditional Andorran house that has been recovered and conditioned as an ethnographic museum. Inside we can know how life developed in a humble house in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The house contains part of the original furniture and tools of the family.

Este museo permite conocer el mundo rural y ganadero más tradicional y que tanto peso ha tenido en Andorra. Casa Rull traslada a los visitantes al siglo XIX, justo antes de la revolución comercial y de turismo, y les muestra la organización y el funcionamiento de una casa típica del campo.

CASA RULL MUSEUM

This museum allows to know the most traditional rural and livestock world and how much weight it has had in Andorra. Casa Rull moves visitors to the 19th century, just before the commercial and tourism revolution, and shows them the organization and operation of a typical country house.

Viaja en el tiempo y descubre cómo vivir una de las familias más conocidas de Andorra entre los siglos XVI i XIX. La casa era la residencia de verano de los Areny-Plandolit y dispone de numerosas estancias llenas de objetos de colección y elementos decorativos originales.

CASA D'ARENY-PLANDOLIT MUSEUM

Travel back in time and discover how to live one of the families

best known in Andorra between the 16th and 19th centuries. The house was the summer residence of the Areny-Plandolit and has numerous rooms full of collectibles and original decorative elements.

FARGA ROSSELL

La Farga Rossell shows the manufacture and marketing of iron that was made in Andorra between the 17th and 19th centuries. It has different multimedia montages that liven up the visit and show live how it worked in the forge.

Se trata de uno de los yacimientos medievales más importantes documentados en Andorra. Muestra cinco etapas distintas que van desde la edad del Bronce hasta el siglo XIX. Tiene una extensión total de extensión de 4000 metros cuadrados y representan con todo detalle la vida cotidiana de la Andorra medieval

MARGINEDA'S ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

It is one of the most important medieval sites documented in Andorra. It shows five different stages ranging from the Bronze Age to the 19th century. It has a total extension of 4000 square meters and represents in detail the daily life of medieval Andorra

Este museo es una visita obligada para los amantes del arte, especialmente de la pintura de los siglos XIX y XX. Se trata de una galería que recoge temporales anuales de diferentes artistas y que contiene algunas obras de la familia Thyssen.

CARMEN THYSSEN MUSEUM

This museum is a must see for art lovers, especially 19th and 20th century painting. This is a gallery that collects annual temporary of different artists and that contains some works of the Thyssen family.

Entre los años 1909 y 1957 la manufacturación del tabaco era fundamental en la vida de los andorranos. El Museo del Tabaco permite dar un paseo por este sector tan relevante.

TABACCO MUSEUM

Between 1909 and 1957 the manufacture of tobacco was fundamental in the life of the Andorran people. The Tobacco Museum allows you to take a walk through this very relevant sector.

Este espacio muestra cómo se llevaba a cabo la tala de madera mediante una sierra hidráulica y el proceso de transformación del maíz en harina que tenia lugar durante los siglos XVI y XVII en la zona.

MUELA AND SAWMILL OF CAL PAL

This space shows how logging was carried out using a hydraulic saw and the process of transforming corn into flour that took place during the 16th and 17th centuries in the area.

Este museo muestra la evolución de los vehículos durante el paso del tiempo. Contiene ejemplares de todo tipo y uso, desde la primera máquina de vapor de Pinette, en 1885, hasta vehículos de la segunda mitad el siglo XX.

NATIONAL AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM

This museum shows the evolution of vehicles during the passage of time. It contains copies of all types and use, from the first steam engine of Pinette, in 1885, to vehicles of the second half of the 20th century.

El museo contiene diferentes exposiciones de microminiaturas. Las obras están elaboradas a mano y están hechas sobre soportes minúsculos, como un grano de arroz, un grano de sal o el o de una aguja de coser. La mayor parte de las obras sólo se pueden apreciar a través de un microscopio.

MINIATURE MUSEUM

The museum contains different microminiature exhibits. The works are made by hand and are made on tiny supports, such as a grain of rice, a grain of salt or the or of a sewing needle. Most of the works can only be seen through a microscope.

Este museo acoge varias exposiciones temáticas de creaciones cómicas de fama internacional. Además, de forma periódica realiza presentaciones de autores, talleres de cómic o proyecciones de películas relacionadas con este mundillo. También tiene una zona de venta de publicaciones.

COMIC MUSEUM

This museum hosts several thematic exhibitions of internationally famous comic creations. In addition, he periodically makes presentations by authors, Comic workshops or movie screenings related to this world. It also has a sales area for publications.

Conoce el origen y evolución del perfume en la historia a través de este museo. Contiene una exposición de más de 1.000 frascos y objetos relacionados con la perfumería.

PERFUME MUSEUM

Learn about the origin and evolution of perfume in history through this museum. It contains an exhibition of more than 1,000 bottles and objects related to perfumery.

El museo rinde homenaje a la motocicleta a través de una exposición que recoge los modelos más representativos y singulares del mercado. Las obras expuestas van des de principios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad.

MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM

The museum pays tribute to the motorcycle through an exhibition that gathers the most representative and unique models of the market. The works exhibited go from the beginning of the 20th century to the present.

La finalidad de este museo es acercar a todos sus visitantes la historia de la electricidad de Andorra. El museo está situado en la planta baja del edificio de la central hidroeléctrica de FEDA. Esta central se puso en funcionamiento en el año 1934 y hoy en día es la principal fuente de producción de energía eléctrica de Andorra.

ELECTRICTY MUSEUM

The purpose of this museum is to bring the history of electricity in Andorra to all its visitors. The museum is located on the ground floor of the FEDA hydroelectric power station building. This plant was put into operation in 1934 and today is the main source of electricity production in Andorra.

Este museo alberga un valioso fondo repleto de objetos y elementos litúrgicos procedentes de las distintas iglesias de el Principado.

SACRED ART MUSEUM

This museum houses a valuable fund full of objects and liturgical elements from the various churches of the Principality.

Este espacio explica la evolución historia del correo y de los sistemas de comunicación que se usaban en el país des de la antigüedad hasta ahora. También se puede contemplar una colección de sellos desde el año 1928 y sus procesos de elaboración.

POSTAL MUSEUM

This space explains the evolution history of the mail and communication systems that were used in the country since ancient times so far. You can also contemplate a collection of stamps since 1928 and its manufacturing processes.

El centro permite interactuar con elementos procedentes de la naturaleza, escuchar sonidos de los bosques, etc. Entre sus instalaciones alberga una exposición permanente de 2.100 metros sobre la formación de los Pirineos y los fenómenos climatológicos que han formado el actual paisaje andorrano.

LA CORTINADA NATURE CENTER

The center allows you to interact with elements from nature, listen to forest sounds, etc. Among its facilities it houses a permanent exhibition of 2,100 meters on the formation of the Pyrenees and the climatic phenomena that have formed the current Andorran landscape.

Este espacio muestra las principales característica del estilo artístico románico y su evolución en Andorra. Dispone de un montaje audiovisual y una interesante exposición permanente.

ROMANIC INTERPRETATION CENTER

This space shows the main characteristic of the Romanesque artistic style and its evolution in Andorra. It has an audiovisual montage and an interesting permanent exhibition.
