The sheltered refuge of Comapedrosa is located at an altitude of 2,260 meters, very close to the lake of the Truites. It has a capacity of 48 people and is guarded by a team of people knowledgeable about the regulations and heritage of the National Park of the Valleys of Comapedrosa. The facility offers catering services, overnight and there is the possibility to access practicing Skimo or fishing. It also has wifi and payment by credit card is allowed. During the winter, it is necessary to consult with the station to know its state of opening.
To access the refuge, go to the village of Erts on General Road 4 and take the crossing towards Pal. After about 10 kilometers along this road we find the restaurant of the Coll de la Botella, where we will leave the vehicle. At this point you take a cable car (you need to purchase a ski pass and the schedule is from 10:00 to 17:30 hours) to Port Negre, located at 2490 meters altitude.
Once we leave the cable car we must advance northwest until we reach the Port Vell (30 minutes) and continue along the road marked with yellow points until we reach the Sanfons pass (50 minutes). From there we can already see the Refuge of Comapedrosa, to which we will arrive following the route in direction east (1 hour 30 minutes). The total distance is about 4 kilometers, with 120 meters of positive slope and 300 of negative slope.
