The Historic Centre will host nearly 40 performances as part of Jambo Street Music

On the third weekend in June, the Historic Centre of Andorra la Vella will host Jambo Street Music, a cultural event that has become one of the parish's emblematic events on the eve of summer. In total, around 40 performances have been programmed, half of which will be by local artists.

Thus, between 16 and 18 June, the event will take place free of charge, open to everyone, with a broader format and without restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic. The 38 performances will take place in seven different venues: Anna Maria Janer street, Guillemó, Poble and Consell squares, the Cap del Carrer and Monjó and Sant Esteve squares.

The festival involves the participation of 45 groups, half of which are from the country, and more than 500 musicians, who will offer a wide variety of musical styles over three days. Along the same lines, the activities on the programme include cinema al fresco, electronic music and chill-out space, yoga with live music, children's shows, the performance of all the country's esbarts and the joint performance of the ONCA, the Black Thursday and the Cor Rock d'Encamp, which will involve 100 musicians together on one stage. All the biggest students from all the country's music schools have also been invited to give up the Jambo stages for an afternoon.
