The Mercat de la Vall starts this weekend

Starting this Saturday, the Historical Centre of Andorra la Vella will once again be hosting the Mercat de la Vall, the exhibition of creative crafts, art and food and agricultural products with around thirty stalls, which will be held every first Saturday of the month until October. This year, it also includes a space for children so that they can play at being merchants.

The market will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will offer free activities throughout the afternoons, such as workshops to learn how to make handmade jewellery with paper and natural beeswax wrappings, or activities with chemigrams, a technique that combines procedures and materials from painting and photography. In the same vein, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, visitors can enjoy a free vermouth in the collaborating establishments for purchases of over 10 euros.

The fair kicks off on 7 May and will be held again on 4 June, 3 July, 6 and 7 August, 3 September and 1 October. The initiative, which began in September 2016, is being held for the seventh consecutive year to offer an additional attraction to the area and to showcase the country's producers, artists and artisans.
